Pymmes Park is a little oasis in the centre of a busy residential community where locals can get away from everyday life and concerns. All are welcome.

 

The “Friends of Pymmes Park” are volunteers who love Pymmes Park so much that they give their time freely to ensure the health and well-being of the park is maintained and made safe for the many animals and the various people who enjoy it.

We hope that more people, young, old and in between, will come and visit, care for and enjoy the park as much as Friends of Pymmes Park do.

Because of various cutbacks and financial shortages to care for the park, it is up to everyone who understand what a special park Pymmes is, to support it.

 

Friends of Parks get involved in many different ways, through practical work, habitat surveys, supporting other groups who use the park, consultations or organising entertainment, such as concerts.

 

Your involvement could be as little as an hour now and then, or as many hours as you can give. Whatever you can fit into your schedule would be much appreciated.

 

1. Visitor centre open days, to help at the visitor centre now and again, serving drinks and snacks to the public (no Cooking)

2. Gardening, small-scale gardening in two small areas at any one time around the visitors’ centre.

The more people who volunteer the more we can do such as regular litter picks
